We came upon this establishment by accident. Looks like a beat up Marina fish market on the outside. But the minute you step into the entrance every thing changes. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Than you go into the bar room that is very interesting. Lots of seating. They have tiki tables and lots of seating outside. Very nicely done . The staff and the people are absolutely fantastic. The bartenders are fast and on top of everything. And so very polite. The beer is priced too good to be true. Seems like they keep prices from the 90,s. Blue moon beer . $3 bucks $ 4 margaritas. I’m used to no less than 7 bucks a draft . Wish I lived here . Their seafood is also priced at $22 dollars for 2 pds of cooked to perfection shrimp . This is truly a diamond in the rough. We come to hommassa every year. And I know who’s getting my business from now on . I very highly recommend this establishment.
Cute little hidden gem in Homosassa on the water. My husband and split a full order of Shrimp. It was absolutely delicious. Being our first time, the staff was very helpful and friendly.
Came to this place as a recommendation from my friend since I’m from Oregon and came on vacation and was not disappointed. I loved the atmosphere inside and outside. We were sitting right by the dock and were able to see gators and fish. The food was delicious and fresh and the drinks were hitting! Everyone was so nice and welcoming and will definitely be back soon! Thank you!
A hidden gem! This tiki bar/seafood shack is located off the beaten path and definitely worth discovering! The peel and eat shrimp is delicious~fresh off the boats. We devoured 2.5 pounds of shrimp along with chowder and drinks for under 30 dollars!!!
The Freezer Tiki Bar in Homosassa is one of those local spots everyone talks about, and now I get why. Prices are shockingly cheap, and the whole place has a laid back, local vibe that feels genuine. I have heard about it for years and finally made the trip. I would absolutely go back. Food comes out fast, but keep your receipt because they check your name and number when they run orders. The beer is insanely cheap. The back patio and outdoor area bring real marina energy, and it is a great place to hang out in the evening. Bring bug spray just in case. The shrimp is budget friendly and decent for the price. The stone crab is the real standout. It is sweeter and fresher than what I usually see, and still priced well below most Tampa Bay spots. The clam chowder and cole slaw are simple. The butter pulls all of the seafood together. The mussels were delicious, especially with the garlic butter. If you want a no frills local hangout with cheap drinks, fast food, and solid seafood, The Freezer is worth the stop.
Love this spot! Great food and great little vibe, I always hit it on my way home from renting at Bird Underwater! Sunset is awesome too, we saw a manatee off the deck!
DELICIOUS!!! Probably the best shrimp I have ever had. Very fresh, tender and piping hot. Not overcooked in the slightest. You do have to peel the shrimp yourself.
We enjoyed our dinner immensely! Yummy! Shrimp & Crab! Delicious! The building is rustic and plain, but its appeal is the laid back old Florida ~dock side atmosphere. Charming!
